Out of necessity, I learned how to do these things. Sure, it would be nice to have someone to do those things and to help out, but when it comes down to it, I am capable of taking care of everything on my own.

It’s not a coincidence that the guys with whom I’ve had the best sex are the ones I also like as people. When casual sex starts to turn into “friends with benefits,” or anything in that category, it’s great for a short period of time, but it has an expiration date.

We get along, we make each other laugh, we are interested in each other’s lives, we can go out for meals in public and have things to say and wait… And, at some point, it either needs to progress or stop.

She and I both came to the same conclusion – because we waited too long, dating is harder and the thought of letting someone into our lives makes us a little twitchy.

We’re at a point where dating has become a very loose term. It could mean you’re going out for meals in public, or you could just be two Millennials, f*cking and texting. So, what do you do when you want sex, but you don’t want feelings?

I’m not saying I can’t or won’t; it’s just hard to imagine caring enough about someone to want to make room for them in my life.
